An End to Yet Another Great Season

To Fair Dinkum Members,

On behalf of the committee comprising of the 9 deadly sinners, we would like to thank you very much for making Fair Dinkum's second year a memorable one. For 11 months this year we paddled to our hearts content. For those that were inebriated for the entire year, this wrap up is for you:

We were the first db team to start training in the first week of January 2008... brrr...
We sent two teams to the Boracay International Championships in April 2008
Whilst the team that stayed back in HK won the Stanley Warm-up Mixed Bowl
We won the Deep Water Bay Mixed Bowl
We entered 3 teams at the Stanley Internationals, which included our first women's team
We raised over HKD247,000 for the Fair Dinkum "Shave to Save" Campaign to help the Sichuan earthquake victims
We won the HK Internationals Mixed Plate
We even competed against the fishermen teams in Cheung Chau
We had yet another awesome finale party called "Back to Skool" at Lux in LKF and managed to raise over HKD45,000 for the Matilda Hospital Appeal.
We performed admirably in the annual Matilda Hospital Sedan Chair races.
We managed to avoid getting the wooden spoon in the HK Dodgeball League
We launched the Fair Dinkum Cultural Express Events, a series of cultural activities and events for our members.

But please stay tuned for 2009. We will start our dragon boat season immediately after Chinese New Year and watch out for Fair Dinkum's Amazing Race in HK.
